Peer Network
Peer network is the term FoC has given to its group of dedicated youth who volunteer with FoC and intend to contribute in the development of independent filmmaking in the nation.
The peer network is best described as a group of motivated youngsters- who like being involved with the Independent filmmaking community
The peer network is currently headed by second year BMM student Nirali Doshi, from G.N Khalsa college, Mumbai.She is in-charge of planning and conducting the activities of the network.
Of the various things that the peer network is responsible for- they mainly contribute by-
-Researching on upcoming independent directors and movies.
-Interviewing artists from the independent filmmaking community.
-Working on material for the FoC website.
-Attending meetings to discuss the POA for Friends Of Cinema.
-Sharing the responsibility of organizing the event.
-Watching movies together and analyzing.
-Collection of cd's and meeting up with artists.
-Updating content on the FoC community page.
Its not as serious as it sounds.Peer network meetings are fun.Their analysis of movies is stuff comic sitcoms are made up of.Researching and working on movies have never been this enjoyable.And dont forget the occasional party and vacation trip.
